All Pets are Angels in Training

Hi friends. This page is dedicated to you. You can ask me questions that might be bothering you and need someone to ask questions that might help you feel better. I am here for you. With love, Yoya

Dear Yoya Pet Q&A

Dear Yoya, My doggy crossed the rainbow bridge. His name was Tito. Is he going to heaven?

Yes! Tito is going to heaven because God loves all creatures. He might not be around other humans, but he has a very special place in God’s presence, filled with sunshine, treats, and lots of other happy dogs to play with.

That’s a great question! Squeaky isn’t mad at you at all. Hamsters are just built a little differently than us. They are nocturnal, which means they like to be awake and play at night! When you wake him up during the day, he is probably just very sleepy and needs his nap. If you wait until the sun goes down, you’ll see a much happier, ready-to-play Squeaky!

Mittens definitely loves you! Cats just have a different way of showing it. When she loves you, she might:

  • Rub her head against your legs.
  • Purr really loudly when you pet her.
  • Blink slowly at you—that are like a cat’s gentle kiss!
  • Lay on your lap.

Every time she does one of those things, she is saying, “I love you!”

African Grey parrots are very special because they can live a long, long time—sometimes 50 to 60 years, and even up to 80 years with really excellent care! That means if you adopt a young African Grey, they will be your feathered friend for your entire life and might even need a friend or family member to take care of them when you are an adult. They are a true lifetime commitment.

That little raccoon may look very cute, but the answer is no, you shouldn’t keep it. There are two big reasons why:

  • It’s Not Safe for You or the Raccoon: Raccoons are wild animals, and even a baby one will grow up to have wild instincts. This means they can be unpredictable, aggressive, and might bite or scratch. They are also known to carry diseases like rabies or raccoon roundworm, which can be very harmful to humans and other pets. The raccoon is safest and happiest in its natural home!

  • It’s Illegal to Keep Wild Animals: In Florida, it is against the law to take an animal from the wild and keep it as a pet. If you are worried about the raccoon you found, the kindest and safest thing to do is to call your local wildlife rescue or animal control.

Well my Dear, sometimes birds as much as they love you they have the desire to fly and see the world from the sky. You gave your bird love and he is now free to fly and share what he learned from you. Pray for him every night and wish him a safe journey. You did your part. Congratulations.

That is a very special job, and you can be the best helper! The most important thing for a new mom dog is peace and quiet, and the most important thing for the puppies is warmth and their mama.

Here are three simple ways you can help right now:

  • Be the Quiet Guard: Mama needs to rest and feed the babies. Your job is to make sure the puppy area is calm and quiet. This means no loud noises, no running around the den, and asking everyone to look at the puppies quietly from a distance.

  • Make Her Food and Water Easy to Reach: Mama is very tired and doesn’t want to leave her babies. You can help by gently moving her food bowl and fresh water bowl very close to where she is resting so she doesn’t have to walk far to eat and drink. She needs extra food to make milk for eight hungry puppies!

  • Keep the Bedding Clean and Cozy: Sometimes the puppies and mama make a mess. You can help ask a grown-up to change the bedding (like towels or blankets) to keep the puppy den clean and dry. A clean den helps everyone stay healthy.

You are a great friend to this new doggy family
